Brookvex ECO achieves new Energy Management standard.

Brookvex is one of the first companies in the UK to be awarded the new European Standard for energy management systems, the BS EN 16001.

The BS EN 16001represents the latest best practice in energy management, building upon existing national standards and initiatives. The standard specifies the requirements for an Energy Management System (EnMS) to enable an organisation to develop and implement a policy, identify significant areas of energy consumption and target energy reductions.

Effective energy management is a crucial issue for the success of any business. An Energy Management System (EnMS), which is a framework for the systematic management of energy, is essential for all companies. It gives them a competitive advantage; increases energy efficiency; cuts costs; and reduces Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
